Gratitude Challenge

Our Gratitude Challenge had such a warm reception last year that we’re bringing it back with a brand new addition. The same opportunities of receiving free daily text prompts and space within your movement practice to express gratitude will happen throughout the month of November. We’re also adding in an add-on to take it deeper, called Gratitude+.

The Workshop

The kickoff event for our month of focusing on Gratitude will feature a workshop to focus on the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual components of a steady gratitude practice. We’ll explore into what’s happening beneath the surface of feeling grateful. Things don’t feel #blessed? Don’t worry: we’ll dig into the power of honesty and discuss how balancing our pain and struggles don’t have to take away from a gratitude practice.

The Gratitude+ Package

Those who participate in Gratitude+ as a Package will receive:

  • The kick-off workshop on October 30 at 7PM as a primer to what the practice of gratitude does for your body and your brain
  • A daily gratitude journal to dive deeper into what incites that feeling of gratefulness in you
  • A weekly studio-class (5 classes for the month of November)

New Class: Vin to Yin

Mondays, 7 PM

As the summer heat gradually slides into the cooler air of autumn, join us for this class that combines the warm movement of a vinyasa flow class with the stillness and focus of a slower paced yin practice.

We begin each class with centering breathwork and flow through postures using our breath as a focus. The second part of class will transition into longer-held poses, allowing for stillness as we gently stress ligaments, joints and fascia of the subtle body. Each class ends with several minutes in savasana.

Dem Bones

A Workshop on Joint Health and Stable Alignment

10am – 12pm, Sunday, September 25

with guest teacher Mary Borton, E-RYT 500

A healthy yoga practice isn’t just about “stretching” the muscles; it also includes arranging our body in such a way that our tissues and organs can function at optimal capacity.

Guest Teacher Mary Borton, E-RYT 500 will guide us in a 2-hour experiential self-assessment of our skeletal relationship of bone to bone, and the easeful movement and stability through these meeting places. With a focus on both mobility and stability of spine, pelvis, legs and feet, we will explore ways to find new strength as well as redefine range of movement.

You can expected a guided flow of movement of familiar yoga poses as well as taking time in key poses to discover different ways to let your bones organize and align with one another for a more cohesive and coordinated way of being in your body.

This 2-hour experience is $30 – members get 20% off at registration.

Happy Hands Workshop

Your hands touch everything you love, so give them the attention they need to feel strong and to move with ease. This workshop will dig into the anatomy of the hand, wrist and fingers to better understand the bones, muscles, tendons, ligaments and connective tissues that work to hold you up (in yoga poses) or even in everyday use.
We will work through exercises to strengthen overall hand health while increasing mobility. After a hand-centered flow with attention on placement and alignment in basic yoga poses, we’ll end with a guided meditation. You’ll leave with a bottle of Woven Yoga signature Bliss scent lotion to practice your hand self-care at home.

Soundbath Experience

Join us with special guest teacher Lauren Miceli with one of our seasonal Southbath Experiences! She uses the energy of sound to penetrate our bodies and souls for this 75-minute restorative experience. We begin with breathwork and guided meditation before venturing into a Yoga Nidra state of ultimate relaxation. Lauren uses chimes, gongs, singing bowls and other forms of vibrational medicine to take us into a deeper relaxed state.

Our first birthday was in the shutdown and our second birthday we settled for existence. We’re making up for celebrations lost this year! B2S Educator Workshop

It’s a new year. New students, new energy, new challenges. Maybe a new room, a new prep, a new curriculum.

Is your heart ready?

Using the tools of movement, metta meditation, and mantra, we’ll dig into the work of teaching and learning from the heart. We’ll connect with the animating energy you want to guide your instruction for the year. While we will utilize gentle movement from a seated or standing position, this is not a flow-centered class. Educators who are less apt to move quickly up and down are still able to join with little to no modifications.

Please bring a class list of your students, a notebook, and a yoga mat if you have one (we offer loaners for those who do not own one.)

Kids B2 School Yoga

Using the power of story, meditation, breath practice and movement, our instructor – and trained & practicing educator – will guide students toward a smooth transition into a new year, new classroom, and new teachers.

Our B2S Kids Yoga is appropriate for students entering grades 3-5. This single-session class will help your kiddo to feel prepared for the new year ahead.

Teen Athlete Yoga Series

July 6-27

A series designed to meet the mental and physical demands of teenage athletes. This series supplements the student athlete lifestyle by offering a level of intensity in movement while also offering space to slow down and pay attention to the work under the work.

Classes will include:
*Breath practices to increase breathing capacity for endurance.
*Strength-based movements for the hips, core, and shoulders for more power
*Poses and flows that increase flexibility and greater end-range strength of key muscle groups for injury prevention
*Meditation and mindfulness practices to help bring clarity and focus in the midst of challenging situations.
*A guided relaxation 5-minute “nap”

Open to all student athletes, incoming freshman to senior.

$10 per class or a package of all 4 for $35
