Yoga Practices for Pelvic Health

This workshop will be co-led by Jewel Ruttman, yoga instructor and Erica Smith, pelvic floor physical therapist.

Gratitude Challenge

Challenge: Daily November 1-30, 2024

For the month of November we use our studio practice to help you center on becoming more grateful and magnifying the blessings in your life.

Registering for the Gratitude Challenge includes:

  • An exclusive gratitude workshop on Sunday, October 27 at 7 PM. We’ll dive into the science and art of gratitude and how it affects your mind, emotions and your body. Gratitude plays a huge role in your health! (If you cannot make the workshop, we will record it and offer it via playback.)
  • Weekly group classes in the studio from Nov 1 – 30.
  • A printable, bingo-style card of daily practices of gratitude to put the energy of gratitude into circulation. These ideas can be completed at any point throughout the month. Fill your card and bring it to the studio for celebration and a small memento of your experience.
  • Connection and support – receive daily text reminders of gratitude prompts as well as the good company of those of us who are also practicing gratitude. Register by October 12 and receive a bonus gratitude journal! Link to register is in our bio.

Spring Renewal Restorative

As nature blossoms anew, so too can our bodies and minds find rejuvenation through the practice of restorative yoga. In this class, we invite you to embrace the energy of the season by releasing tension, fostering forgiveness, and welcoming a sense of renewal.

Focus on letting go of any lingering heaviness or resentment from the past as you awaken the body and release any stiffness accumulated during the winter months. With each breath, allow yourself to let go of physical tension, inviting a sense of openness and ease into every muscle and joint.

The class includes a series of restorative poses designed to promote deep relaxation and surrender. Supported by bolsters, blankets, and props, you’ll sink into each posture with a sense of comfort and security, allowing your body to fully release and unwind.

Throughout the practice, we’ll weave in elements of forgiveness and self-compassion, guiding you to cultivate a mindset of letting go and moving forward with grace. You’ll be encouraged to release any burdens or grievances you may be carrying, making space for healing and growth.

You will leave with a sense of lightness and renewal, ready to embrace the beauty and possibility of the season ahead while feeling refreshed, revitalized, and deeply connected to the spirit of the season.

Balance through Boundaries

While yoga contributes to extra length in our muscles and spaciousness in bodies, we may find that in life we tend to be stretched to the limits. Establishing boundaries that honor our connections is an imperative practice for mind, body and being. By understanding and working within our limits, we can respond mindfully and find balance.

In this workshop, mental health professional (and licensed independent social worker) Holly Scheweitzer Dunn will walk us through the importance of understanding and enforcing limits in our relationships to work, home, and other people. 

Content will be conversational in style and questions are welcome as we individually work through how boundaries can strengthen and support our relationships as well as allowing our own inner flame to flourish.

Dem Bones

A Workshop on Joint Health and Stable Alignment

10am – 12pm, Sunday, September 25

with guest teacher Mary Borton, E-RYT 500

A healthy yoga practice isn’t just about “stretching” the muscles; it also includes arranging our body in such a way that our tissues and organs can function at optimal capacity.

Guest Teacher Mary Borton, E-RYT 500 will guide us in a 2-hour experiential self-assessment of our skeletal relationship of bone to bone, and the easeful movement and stability through these meeting places. With a focus on both mobility and stability of spine, pelvis, legs and feet, we will explore ways to find new strength as well as redefine range of movement.

You can expected a guided flow of movement of familiar yoga poses as well as taking time in key poses to discover different ways to let your bones organize and align with one another for a more cohesive and coordinated way of being in your body.

This 2-hour experience is $30 – members get 20% off at registration.

Happy Hands Workshop

Your hands touch everything you love, so give them the attention they need to feel strong and to move with ease. This workshop will dig into the anatomy of the hand, wrist and fingers to better understand the bones, muscles, tendons, ligaments and connective tissues that work to hold you up (in yoga poses) or even in everyday use.
We will work through exercises to strengthen overall hand health while increasing mobility. After a hand-centered flow with attention on placement and alignment in basic yoga poses, we’ll end with a guided meditation. You’ll leave with a bottle of Woven Yoga signature Bliss scent lotion to practice your hand self-care at home.

Soundbath Experience

Join us with special guest teacher Lauren Miceli with one of our seasonal Southbath Experiences! She uses the energy of sound to penetrate our bodies and souls for this 75-minute restorative experience. We begin with breathwork and guided meditation before venturing into a Yoga Nidra state of ultimate relaxation. Lauren uses chimes, gongs, singing bowls and other forms of vibrational medicine to take us into a deeper relaxed state.

Our first birthday was in the shutdown and our second birthday we settled for existence. We’re making up for celebrations lost this year!
